I've been looking at the 9mm Beretta PX4 Storm. Anyone on Gunnook have one and if they do how do you like it?

I had a PX4 storm and liked it, but I did trade it in for a CX4 carbine. I had so many handguns and just had to have the CX4. It was dependable and I fired around 1K rounds through mine with a very minimal amoutn of hiccups, (could have been ammo induced) as I used cheaper ammo for plinking.

That CX4 carbine looks sweet! what is the price tag on one of them?

I got my PX4 .40 ,full-sized, type F, last Nov. I have hundreds of rounds down the tube, no problems what-so-ever. Feels like it's a part of my hand, it fits really well after installing the small back strap and putting a Hogue Hand-All grip on it. The three-dot white sights are pretty visible, I made my own fiber-optic dots and glued them on for better low-light targeting. Trijicon makes night sights for it also.
The PX4 is one of the most accurate handguns I've ever shot, I've noticed less recoil compared to other .40s I've fired, and it comes back on target very quickly for accurate follow-up shots. I imagine it handles so well because of the Beretta rotating barrel design. It's a little heavy for a polymer framed design, not as light as a Glock, but the weight really helps to negate barrel climb while firing. DA trigger pull is smooth, but pretty stiff, not a problem for me. It's also one of the easiest pistols I've ever seen to take apart and reassemble, just push down the two slide disengage levers and pull the slide forward. The slide, barrel, and block come right out in one piece. The Type F is double-action (SA/DA) with a slide mounted ambidextrous safety lever that disengages the trigger and acts as a decocker. Slim-line safety levers and Mag release buttons are available from Beretta to further streamline the design and make it more holster and CC friendly. I can't comment on the .45 version but I have shot the 9mm PX4, it's just as sweet as my .40. I'm not saying the PX4 is the right choice for you, but for my money, it was the best choice for me, I love it!

Here's a pic of the fiber-optic dots I put on it, they work pretty good in low-light.

Here's a group I shot at 25ft.

Yeah, she's a sweet shooter. No regrets here. I've started shooting out to 50ft now, and will probably go out to 75ft soon. I'm pretty darn proud of those sights. They look better now that I cleaned all the glue overflow off. I even put some on my friend's Glock 22.

Thanks. You should've seen some of the earlier targets, not pretty. Truth is I was a horrible shot with handguns, the PX4 was my first automatic, even though I shot my friends' pistols before. It took a lot of range time and ammo to get to this point, but I am determined to be great with my PX4. Not quite there yet, but I'm working on it.
