Anybody seen this rifle yet? I think it's a pretty good concept. The MVP (Mossberg Varmint Predator), is a standard bolt action rifle in 5.56 that accepts aftermarket AR15 magazines. Pretty cool, wish they'd make it in .308 that takes AR10 or G3 mags.

I have looked at these, and yes they are a nice rifle. Seemed to have a decent action and build up of good material. I have used the 5.56 (223) round for many years, and still do in the military; however if I came out with a new rifle, it sure would not be in this caliber. I would have liked to seen it in a 30 caliber of some kind, (308) or even something like a 260, 270, or even 280. Nice rifle though at a decent price. I ordered one of these for a fella with scope, bipod, and the works for just under $600.

That's not a bad price at all, thanks Les. Like you I'd like to see it in a 30 cal too, I'd even take it in a 243.

Yea all that for $600 is not bad at all. It's nothing for me to shot 200 to 300 rd's with my AR in under a hour at the range. Getting a nice bolt action 5.56 /223 would take that hr and make it like 4 or 5 hours :P

I also like bolt action guns.
