I don't particularly have any one brand I collect.
But I did inherit my father's Old Timer collection.

All these are older Schrade-Cut Co. or Schrade-Walden Old Timers, made of carbon steel. Way before Schrade sold-out to Taylor Brands and are now made of garbage steel in China.

Im kinda fond of Benchmades, but i normally only get ones marked "First Production". Harder for someone in my unit to attempt to nab it when its marked with a number.

I've never really "collected" knives and don't honestly have a preference. I usually just go with whatever is convenient at the time. The only consideration I really give is that the handle must be sturdy and grip well. I usually regrind and sharpen any knife I get anyways so blade design isn't a factor. That said, my absolute favorite EDC of the past 20 years was the Schrade 'Old Timer model 470T folding knife. I've had, and lost, about 4 of them and have thought about getting more.
