  • Rossi's Ranch Hand

    Video by: http://www.gunblast.com

Rossi's Ranch Hand is a handgun caliber, lever action pistol. Those of you that have seen the show Wanted: Dead Or Alive with Steve McQueen may recognize it, but it only looks like his character's gun. You see McQueen's character's gun was a modified Winchester Model 92 (also known as a "Mare's Leg") and shot 30-30 , a true rifle caliber. That's just not legal out of a 12" barreled gun these days, unless you fork over the cash to the ATF for a tax stamp. That's why the Ranch Hand only comes in handgun calibers. The way it is, it complies with federal regulations and is completely legal to buy and own, just like any handgun. The Ranch Hand is available in three popular pistol rounds: .38 Spl./.357 Mag., .44 Mag. and .45 Colt. It features an over-sized loop lever, walnut stained, hard wood stock and fore-arm, a gold-bead front sight with an adjustable buckhorn rear sight, and a side mounted saddle ring with rawhide tie-down. As far as practicality goes, I can't see much use for it, seems like it would be kind of awkward to use for personal/home defense or hunting. But I can definitely feel the cool factor coming off this gun, it would just be fun to own and shoot the Ranch Hand, even as a novelty. And it's not terribly expensive. Should be a hit with the Cowboy Action shooters out there.
