What type of revolvers does everyone like and why?

Just curious as to what kind of revolvers everyone has and what they like and why?

I have several, I have a Ruger Blackhawk (the 3 bolt frame) in 357 mag, a Ruger Single Six in 22 lr, a Taurus Model 605 in 357 mag and a ArminiS (spelling not sure) 22 lr and 22 mag cylinders (it is a German revolver). I really like the Rugers, they are solid and dependable. The Taurus is great but the trigger seems a little stiff when shooting double action.

I also have a blackpowder revolver, it is a reproduction of the Remington New Army 1858 in 44 cal. I love the smell of blackpowder when I shoot it.

SO come on and spill the beans. What kind of revolvers do you have and why you like them?

Sadly I don't own a revolver Not yet anyway I'm more of a pistol guy. However I've been looking at a few the last week or so and the one that caught my eye was a Smith & Wesson Model 329 Night Guard. I'm going to school up in PA for Gunsmithing soon and I need something nice and small for CC. My Glock 22 is just to big.

I have a old H&R 22/22mag that's a fun little plinker never has given me a minutes problem. My everyday carry piece is a Taurus 85 ultralight hammerless, very concealable and a good shooter. Being DAO the long trigger travel has taken some getting used to. I have shot several wheel guns over the years, Super Redhawk in 44 mag, Tauras 608 (I think that's the model - the 8 shot 357), Ruger Single Six's, Colt 22 (no idea what model). The Ruger LCR would make a very nice CCW piece, the one I shot was very nice, has a very nice trigger and even with +P's the recoil isn't bad, a bit snappy but that's expected out of a snubbie. Would love to give S&W's new Bodyguard 38 a try.

I have an old model Ruger single-six .22lr/mag convertible, really nice, accurate gun. I also have a 3" Taurus Judge, I get a lot of flack for owning it, but, It shoots great and I like it, that's all that matters.

I have recently got more and more into revolvers. I love the single action revolvers. I have a matching set of the Ruger Superblackhawks SS with rosewood grips, one in 357 and one in 44 mag. I have also just got the S&W 386 Nightguard in that I will use for CCW as well. I know that is a pricey piece, but just fell in love with it. I just got my wife the S&W 637 airweight with CT grips for a present as I am teaching her on CCW and she will soon go get hers. Look it is a scary world out there, and people are just testing the limits more and more with all the drugs, crime, and folks that want to steal a working man's fortune...... Anyhow, not to get off subject, there are so many good revolvers out there and they are getting more and more popular again. Me, personally, would rather have my loved ones carry this pretty much fail safe weapon as a CCW. The complexity of semi pistols for a non avid shooter could cost them in the end with the inexperience of correcting a malfunction. I love all my guns, and wish the "anti-gunners" would open their eyes and see that the tool should not be blamed, but the person who carries it with the intent of crime, or unlawful death(s). As the saying goes......if guns kill people, then pencils misspell words and spoons make you fat. Just my 2 cents.

Those S&W Nightguards are awesome Les! I've only been able to stare at them through glass cases and in catalogs though...lol. I'd like to get the .357/.38spl/9mm Ruger Blackhawk convertible, I just like the idea of being able to shoot three different rounds from the same gun. And as far as the anti-gunners go, they'll never open their eyes, not as long as people like Bloomberg and the Brady Bunch fill their sheep-like brains with meaningless drivel and fear mongering.

Hey sasquatch.....I agree with you. The anti-gunners are just as stated. That SW Nightguard shoots great as well. I was really hesitant in getting it because I really love my single actions, and getting it as another carry weapon I was wondering how easy it was going to be. It is a very concealable revolver sitting on a L-Frame. Nice to have that 7th shot, kinda makes that Dirty harry saying go along way with one more round, LOL. You ever go to Whitehorse range we'll have to meet up and you can try'em out. I gotta take my M1A to the rtange soon. I have already loaded some special rounds for it....hehehe.

I'm a sixgun shooter & have no pistols. I have nothing against pistols, just a revolver man. I shoot Ruger SA and S&W DA.
