Been thinking of getting a 1911.

Yep, I got it into my head that I need one, or at least want one. Problem is, they can get pricey and I don't have a whole lot of cash. Been looking at this one: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/p...s_id=411539079

It's about all I can afford, can anyone tell me if it's a good choice or not?

That is a pretty nice 1911, Souldat. Great price too. I was thinking about it today, I don't need a 1911, I just want one. So I'll probably put it on hold because I have another idea.....a semi-automatic rifle, that's something I DO need.

I've put will over 800 Rds in mine and haven't had any problems. However I do clean mine right after I get done shooting it.

My friend has a Bushmaster also, it's a really nice gun. I was doing some more thinking and I guess a 5.56/233 would be fine, although I wanted a .308. I don't know if it'll be possible for me to save that much cash. I'm probably only going to have about $500. I found out the Cetme 308 I was looking at locally costs $599, so that's out. I could get one from Bud's for $497 but I like to check a gun out before I buy it, and considering Cetmes from Century are pretty much hit or miss in quality, I won't chance it.
