Does anyone shoot at Whitehorse Range located just south of Clarksburgh, WV on RT 20? I used to shoot there quite often, both on the civilian and military side(s). I would like to link up with some if they go there to shoot sometime. They have the capabilities to shout out to 1,000 yards. I used to do sniper training there with military units and it is a nice place to shoot. If anyone is interested give me a shout!

I shoot the IBS matches there. We shot match 3&4 last Saturday & match 1&2 April 30th. It's a nice place with plenty of wind to keep you on your toes. Here's the firing line during the heavy gun match.

On 4-30-11 this range was dedicated to Tim Gardner. Anyone know the name? Much of the reason we have 1000 yard IBS shoots are due to his efforts.

I've never been to this range, looks nice. I'm a member of the Katy Conservation and Sportmen Association. We don't have a 1000YD target it only goes up to 250YD. I may have to try this place out when I get a nice .308

Hey Souldat, welcome to the board. BTW I've never seen a 308 in a 1000 yrd. IBS match.

LOL and I'm sure you never will. I was more or less saying for anything over 300YD I'm assuming that range has 400, 500 Yd targets. The range I'm at now goes up to 250yd. That's all I need with my AR. When I get a bigger caliber gun I'll check out this range.

They do shoot the ARs there over the course. The also shoot plenty of 308s & even '06s in certain events. There's a public range also so you can use it anytime it's open. Where is your home range [Katy Conservation and Sportmen Association]?

Harry Jones Range shouldn't be far from you. They go a 1000 there.
And BTW I was at Harry Jones a month or two back & someone called me Creeker. I didn't realize till after I left I should have took time to ask who they were. Was it one of you guys? If so I'm sorry & didn't mean to snub. I'm a friendly type but was distracted with this new game.
